What is UIU Travel?
UIU Travel is the travel arm of UIU Business Inc. and an IATA-accredited travel agency. We support UIU events and community travel by partnering with hotels, car rental companies, and insurance providers.
Does UIU Travel book or manage my travel?
No. UIU Travel does not book or manage individual travel reservations in this model. Travelers book directly with hotels, car rental companies, or insurance providers using approved links or booking instructions shared by UIU Travel.
Will I still earn hotel loyalty points?
Yes, in most cases. When you book directly with the hotel using the official booking link or reservation method provided, your stay is eligible for hotel loyalty points based on the hotel’s loyalty program rules and the rate selected. Eligibility for points is determined solely by the hotel brand and rate type.
Does booking through UIU Travel cost me more?
No. Using UIU Travel partner links does not increase the price you pay. UIU Travel may receive a commission or referral fee from the supplier at no additional cost to you.
Who do I contact if I need to change or cancel my reservation?
You must contact the travel supplier directly. This includes hotels, car rental companies, and travel insurance providers. UIU Travel does not manage changes, cancellations, refunds, or claims.
Why does UIU Travel recommend specific partners?
We recommend partners that are reputable and widely used, allow travelers to book directly, support loyalty benefits where applicable, and provide reliable service for conventions and group travel. These partnerships also help support UIU programs and events.
Is travel insurance required?
Travel insurance is not required, but it is strongly recommended, especially for international travel, group travel, convention travel, and non-refundable bookings. Insurance is purchased directly from the insurance provider.
Does UIU Travel handle travel disruptions or emergencies?
No. All travel support, including delays, cancellations, lost items, or claims, is handled directly by the travel supplier or insurance provider.
